“All human life has its seasons, and no one’s personal chaos can be permanent: winter, after all does not last forever does it? There is summer, too, and spring, and though sometimes when branches stay dark and the earth cracks with ice, one thinks they will never come, that spring, that summer, but they do, and always."

Crime Victims Oak Garden is a favorite venue for our Survivor Families in close collaboration with the Cara Knott Foundation who was instrumental in obtaining the site for Crime Victim Families. There are many trees planted here in memory of victims and is a source of respite for visitors. SVLP's annual picnic takes place at the Oak Garden on the First Saturday after Thanksgiving.
