“All human life has its seasons, and no one’s personal chaos can be permanent: winter, after all does not last forever does it? There is summer, too, and spring, and though sometimes when branches stay dark and the earth cracks with ice, one thinks they will never come, that spring, that summer, but they do, and always."

"Your Support is Our Mission!" Losing someone to violence can be the most alone and powerless experience you ever have. Folks around you may think you belong to the wrong societal group and yet, this kind of loss cuts across all economic and cultural worlds. Our founder tells this story: "My little brother couldn't understand how come his friend's mother wouldn't let him play with him anymore after his sister was murdered". Having a loved one die a violent death does not mean the victim and family are criminals.
You are not alone! No one wants any one to be a member of this club, but some of us just are. No one deserves to be with this horrific loss alone.
Folks sometimes say well intentioned things to you that are hurtful. When that occurs, you may want to direct them to our website in general but in particular to articles like What Not to Say. You can help us add that list as well by telling us your story.
We hope that you know we want this site to be interactive and we hope to hear from you by submitting your comments through the contact us page.
